About us

A foundation that began with one widow's testimony

We are a foundation registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission of Nigeria in 2020. Our home in Enugu opened its doors in March 2024.

Our story

The foundation began with a vision Pastor Ken David received in Houston, Texas, after hearing a widow testify that she had shared the little she had until fifty widows had been reached.

He raised the first funds at his birthday. The foundation was registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission on 8 September 2020. On 28 March 2024 the home opened its doors in Enugu with a launch service: a home for children who need one, and a register of widows who could be supported in turn.

Today we work from two places. Our headquarters in Gariki, Enugu, is where the children live. Our outreach branch in Enugu Ezike serves widows in a community in Igbo-Eze North LGA of Enugu State, where we held empowerment outreaches in December 2025, April 2026 and August 2026.

“Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, to visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction.”
James 1:27

Vision and values

We want every child in our care to grow up known, schooled and safe, and to go home to family wherever that is possible. We want every widow on our register to move from relief to a livelihood of her own.

  • Known by name

Every widow and every child is on our register with a permanent number. We do not count crowds.

  • Family first

A children's home should be a bridge, not a destination. Where a child can go home safely, we work towards it.

  • Served in turn

Support goes first to whoever has waited longest, so fairness never depends on who is remembered.

  • Consent before cameras

Nobody appears in our media without recorded permission, and permission can be withdrawn at any time.

  • Open books

Every naira is tagged to a programme and every distribution is signed for, so we can show rather than claim.

  • Nobody takes the glory

The work belongs to the foundation and to God. We speak as “we”, never as one person.

Pastor Ken David

Pastor Ken David founded the foundation and leads it. The vision was his; the first funds were raised at his birthday; the work in Enugu began under his direction.

His instruction to everyone who serves here is that nobody takes the glory. That is why you will read “we” across this site, and why the records belong to the foundation rather than to any one person, founder included. They are backed up and reviewed by our trustees.

The people who lead us

Our founders, and the team who carry the day-to-day work at the home and at our outreaches.

  • Pastor Ken David and Dr Favor David

Pastor Ken David and Dr Favor David

    Founder and Co-Founder

Pastor Ken David founded the home after a vision received in Houston, Texas, where he heard a widow testify that she had shared the little she had until fifty widows had been reached. He raised the first funds at his birthday. He sets the direction of the foundation, leads its spiritual life, and carries final responsibility for the care of every child and widow on the register.

Dr Favor David has worked alongside the founder since the beginning, shaping how the foundation cares for the women and children who come to it. She contributes to the standards of care the home holds itself to, and to the direction of the widows empowerment work.

  • Mrs Ngozi Agudiegwu

    Mrs Ngozi Agudiegwu

    Director

The Director leads the foundation day to day. She approves every admission and every departure alongside the founder, oversees how funds are spent across the orphanage, the widows and the outreach, and is answerable to the trustees for the running of both branches.

  • Aniagwu Light Chibuike

    Aniagwu Light Chibuike

    Manager

The Manager runs the operations of the home. He coordinates staff and volunteers, oversees supplies and the distributions that reach widows across both branches, and makes sure what is agreed on paper actually happens on the ground.

  • Ibe Precious Amara

    Ibe Precious Amara

    Supervisor, Orphanage

Precious supervises the daily care of the children and keeps the records that sit behind it. Admissions, the daily accounts, the visitor and giving register, and the widows register all pass through her hands. She is the reason the foundation can say what it spent, who it reached, and when.

  • Igwe Chinagolum

    Igwe Chinagolum

    IT and Media Manager

Known as King David, he built and maintains the records system that tracks every beneficiary, every naira and every distribution. He leads the media work of the foundation and is responsible for the protection of the data the home holds on the people it serves.
